Major Responsibilities
|
Responsible for developing and implementing IT plans, policies, and standards.
- Conduct research and analysis of IT issues that may impede development and deployment of IT strategic plan activities.
- Research IT issues and emerging technology for consideration of possible inclusion in or revision of plans, policies, and standards.
- Prepare draft, plans, policies, and standards, with supporting documentation, for evaluation by supervisory and program staff.
- Meet and discuss IT requirements with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and program staff.
- Assist in documenting and designing metrics for new policies, processes, plans, and standards.
- Monitor IT plans, policies, and standards for effectiveness, document problems, and prepare reports of findings for supervisory and management review.

Essential Functions/Requirements |
Participate in conducting and analyzing surveys and research about MOIT services, IT policies and standards, technology utilization, customer needs, business processes/system requirements, and new and evolving technology and issues.
- Design and format surveys and questionnaires and make arrangements for distribution and automated compilation of results.
- Evaluate information and prepare reports of findings, including supporting documentation, for supervisory and management review.
- Draft responses to surveys about the use of technology.
- Prepare recommendations for enhancements and revisions to existing policies, standards, processes, and systems.
- Meet with supervisory and program staff, stakeholders, and users to discuss findings and recommendations.
Provide support services for the Baltimore IT Advisory Council, such as preparing letters, preparing reports, preparing documentation, conducting research, and preparing summaries for meetings. |
Education |
- BA/BS preferred, but not required
