Robert L. Wallace is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, business consultant and internationally known speaker. He is the founder of numerous companies. The first company, BITHGROUP Technologies, Inc., is a successful information technology services company that specializes in information technology services, management consulting, biometrics, SMS engineering, wireless engineering, and energy engineering and management. He later founded Entreteach Learning Systems, LLC (www.entreteach.com) which provides e-learning training services for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, small businesses, and micro enterprises. His third company, Techcom, LLC, is a technology commercialization company.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, his Masters of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Sojourner Douglas College. Prior to starting his own companies, Wallace worked for such corporate giants as IBM, DuPont, Procter & Gamble, and Westinghouse. He served on the transition teams for Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.,Governor Martin O’Malley, and many other elected officials. He was later appointed as Chairman of the State of Maryland Information Technology Board (ITB) and IT Consultant to the City of Baltimore ITB. The Governor later appointed Robert to serve as a Commissioner on the State’s Advanced Technology Commission (Pappas Commission) and the Minority Business Reform Commission. When Governor O’Malley signed the Sister State Agreement with the country of Liberia, Robert was asked to serve on the Executive Committee and to Chair the subcommittee on Commerce.
Mr. Wallace is in demand to serve on numerous civic and corporate boards. Some of these boards include the Baltimore Workforce Investment Board, Mayor’s Commission on the Homeless, Kennedy-Krieger Institute, University of Maryland Eastern Shore (Hawk Corporation), Global Vessels, Inc., and the Baltimore Center Stage Playhouse. He is a member of Leadership Maryland, a thriving network of informed, engaged leaders who are helping shape the future of Maryland.
Mr. Wallace as been recognized throughout the world for his business accomplishments and the tremendous contributions that he has made to the international business community. He has the distinction of having delivered the Commencement Address at two of Africa’s largest universities – University of Eastern Africa at Baraton and Solusi University. His awards include the Business Legend Award, Entrepreneur of the Year, Top Business Advocate, Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise for 2006, Top 25 Minority Business Leaders 2008, and many, many other notable awards and recognitions.
He has authored numerous articles and books on entrepreneurship, wealth creation strategies, effective strategic partnering, intrapreneurship, and urban economic development. His books include:
