Baltimore, MD—The Department of General Services for the State of Maryland accepts BITHGROUP Technologies’ bid to implement a comprehensive energy management solution to manage energy consumption across its 55 state agencies. This multi-million dollar project includes the collection, processing, analysis, and payment of over 11,000 state utility bills spanning more than 4,600 electric, gas, fuel oil, propane, and district stream accounts.
The Comprehensive Utility Bill Management Services contract represents a major milestone for Governor Martin O'Malley’s administration, who expects that this project will support de-regulated procurement activities and energy efficiency initiatives, and ultimately lead to timely and accurate reporting of energy consumption data to various stakeholder groups across the State of Maryland.
In recent years, BITHGROUP emerged as the leading provider for energy management solutions that provide significant return on investment for its growing number of customers. BITHGROUP’s energy management solutions provide advanced software, detailed engineering analysis and bill processing and consolidation services. Partnered with BITHGROUP are Good Steward Software, LLC and HI-Tech Processing services, both located in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
