Housing Authority of Plainfield - Wireless Engineering and Security, Network Engineering, Systems Design and Integration
BITHGROUP Technologies, created and iImplemented an Infrastructure Upgrade Plan for the Housing Authority of Plainfield (HAPNJ). Housing Authority employees were faced with an extremely slow network as well as network outages. BITHGROUP Technologies implemented an infrastructure that addressed these issues. The network covered three locations with approximately 30 employees managing 1200 rental dwellings. The infrastructure called for three wireless networks connected across a private Frame-Relay line to central servers that run the Housing Authority Management software (Tenmast). Project Deliveries included:

  • Specification and purchase of all hardware and software
  • Windows 2000 Server installation and configuration
  • DNS installation and configuration
  • DHCP server installation and configuration
  • Active directory installation and configuration
  • Citrix Metaframe installation and configuration
  • IIS installation and configuration
  • Exchange server installation and configuration
  • Wireless Access Point (Cisco Aironet 350) installation and configuration
  • Wireless USB Lan Adapter (Intel 802.11b) installation and configuration
  • 128-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) configuration
  • Wireless 802.1x (Extensible Authentication Protocol) Security Software (Funk Software Odyssey) installation and configuration

InPhonic - Wireless Engineering and Security, Network Engineering, Systems Design and Integration
BITHGROUP Technologies, performed a Wireless Network Analysis with recommendations for improvement for InPhonic. InPhonic has wired and wireless networks in Largo, MD, Georgetown and Reston, VA. The Largo environment has both administrative access (laptops) and warehouse access via WiFi scanners. The analysis included both tactical and strategic components to improve the current environment and implement additional capability to support the requirements not met by their current infrastructure. BITHGROUP Technologies expects to do the strategic wireless implementation as a follow-on project.

JHU/APL - Wireless Engineering and Security, Network Engineering, Systems Design and Integration
BITHGROUP Technologies designed and implemented an indoor and outdoor wireless network for JHUAPL. The applications used on this network included wireless surveillance and secure mobile data acquisition via a wireless mesh network. The latest security available was implemented on this network for both the wireless mesh and WLAN portions. This network is being used as a prototype to determine how best to support mobile data access and security requirements from their sponsor.
