BITHGROUP Technologies has created a Wireless Center of Excellence (WCoE) to enable us to evaluate new and existing WiFi Technologies to architect the best solution for our business partners. WCoE research areas include:

WiFi Standards Research
BITHGROUP is active in 802.11 Standards Research and Analysis. The WCoE is used as a test bed to test implementations of technologies such as:

• 802.1x – Extensible Authentication Protocol
  
• WPA V1 – WEP with TKIP
  
• 802.11e – 802.11 Quality of Service (QoS)
  
• 802.11k – 802.11 Radio Resource Management
  
• LWAPP – Light Weight Access Point Protocol

WiFi Security Product Research
In the WCoE, BITHGROUP tests and evaluates WiFi Security products to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each. We evaluate vendor products as well as those in the Open Source arena to give us the flexibility to architect a solution for our business partners that exceeds their expectations. We also use the WCoE for Penetration Testing of Vendor and Open Source products so we will have the knowledge to create a Security Architecture that employs “Defense in Depth”.

WiFi Academic/Research Partnerships
BITHGROUP has fostered relationships in the Academic and Research communities to collaborate on forward-looking projects in the WiFi arena. This affords us the opportunity to look into the future of WiFi to create a Roadmap for our clients that will give them a window into future WiFi technologies.
